Internships

A Service Internship at Be The Match will provide you with an exciting opportunity to gain knowledge and professional experience while completing studies at your academic institution. Learning occurs through the creation and achievement of goals in the following areas:

  • Academic learning – Apply knowledge learned in the classroom to the workplace.
  • Career development – Gain knowledge of the qualifications and duties of a position and explore your interest in a field.
  • Skill development – Advance your understanding of the skills and knowledge required in the workplace.
  • Personal development – Enhance decision-making skills, critical thinking skills, increased confidence and self-esteem.

The minimum time commitment for a successful Service Internship is 120 hours and the duration varies by placement. Typically internships are under 6 months and part-time; full semester commitment is preferred. Service internships are unpaid and are only open to students currently tied to an academic institution.
